Michael Swan is an experienced, knowledgeable, and driven Realtor®, and the most Senior Luxury Property Consultant on the Promontory sales team. Originally hailing from the Northeast, Michael was born and raised in New England. His passion for skiing and a strong desire to experience new places brought him to the ski slopes of Park City in 1998, where he quickly fell in love with Utah’s mountains and the active lifestyle.
Prior to real estate, Michael attended Tilton Prep in New Hampshire and Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. After moving to Park City in ’98, Michael split his early years between building Companies in the Landscape Design & Construction field, and winter seasons on the mountain coaching ski racing, training other instructors, and giving private lessons. In 2000, Michael made the successful transition to fractional real estate development working with Marriott at both Park City Mountain and Westgate at the Canyons, which have since merged. With his knowledge and experience in new construction, along with his innate sensibilities in design, Michael soon became one of their top-producing sales agents. These endeavors would ultimately lead him to Promontory, a multi-generational luxury mountain community offering custom-built modern homes as well as land on which to build your own personal retreat.
Michael joined Promontory Club in 2013 and has successfully assisted over 100 families, individuals, and developers on their journey to find/create the perfect mountain retreat. The success Michael has achieved after a decade in the industry can be attributed to not only his knowledge of Park City’s community base and it’s fast-paced, unique resort/vacation market but also to the strategic approach he brings to every transaction. Whether his clients are looking for an investment or vacation property, purchasing land to build, or selling their current home, Michael’s clients appreciate his genuine, focused yet relaxed style of negotiating and selling, with complete trust that he will represent their best interests throughout the transaction.

In 2023, Michael and his wife Jenna completed their second home in the picturesque mountain enclave of Midway, just a few miles south of Park City. They live there with their 8-year-old son Atlas & 5-year-old daughter Everette, along with a beloved Rottweiler mix, Bradee, & Bernadoodle puppy, Billee. When he’s not working to elevate his real estate game, Michael enjoys playing hockey, skiing, golfing, reading to and playing with his children, and sneaking in the rare date night with his wife. Having visited all but four U.S. states, Michael is looking forward to visiting Alaska in the coming years and continuing to dominate Utah’s second home, luxury real estate market to make his clients’ Park City property dreams come to life.
